Wal Mart or the Dollar General usually have the basics.

I use Bic Triple Blade disposable’s and Barbasol plain old shaving cream. I like to hear that razor cut and scrape.

If I don’t have Old Spice aftershave I just use Hoppes ‘s # 9.

Amazon.

There was a boom of websites but I don’t know how many are still around.

CVS blades suck for the most part. But there is a face for every blade. Very subjective. Tryablade.com used to be a site. Think it still is. But you buy a ton of blades you can’t get just anywhere and flat shipping fee. Not worth it to buy 10 blades. Buy a years worth? Profit.

Things worth buying at CVS imo.

Styptic pencil. You THOUGHT aftershave burns.

Pinaud Clubman aftershave.

Aftershave lotions. Nivea brand or above.

Van Der Hagen blades. If you must buy a blade there they are OK???

Any Dorco blades? You’re just as well using a good knife.

100 Feather brand blades from Amazon run about $30. Lasts me about 18 months.

I order shaving soaps at the same time.

Amazon for everything

Edwin jagger razor
Feather blades ( if you have experience)
Prorosa pre shave
Prorosa cream or if you want use a badger brush, Taylor of old bonde street
Prorosa after shave
Styptic pen for when you’re rushing around your chin or lips

That should tee you up to never have razor burn again with a close shave.

Shave with the grain then against it. Shave in the shower. End with cold water to the face before after shave.

Walmart has the VanDerHagen blades, not the best and their soaps. Sally's will also have blades and soap if you need it in town. I order from Stirling Soap, they ship quick and have a lot of variety in scents

Amazon for blades and Shaving cream, I never find anything worth a crap locally. I get Astra or Gillette Silver Blue blades and Taylor of Old Bond St shaving cream. CVS and Walgreens usually have Pinaud Clubman aftershave. That’s really all the stuff I use..

All I use... High quality stuff from a family in Arkansas. A container of shave soap will last 6-8 months.

There are still a number of good websites out there. I recently used Maggard.

Parker Platinum Blades are great. Never get any nicks when I use their blades.

As for shaving cream. It doesn't matter that much. Some of the shave soaps will dry out your skin. I'd recommend a shave gel. There are plenty available. Something for sensitive skin is what I use.

For after shave I use, witch hazel. It's better for your skin than alcohol based after shaves. Wash with cold water, then squirt some witch hazel into the palm of your hand and rub it over your face. Pat dry with a towel.

I haven't spent a penny on blades in years. I have the one blade pro and its the best $$$ spent. I had a goatee when i started using, trim work is no problem. I've used it on women to pamper them doin their legs or bikini line and they've bought it and love it
