Ryson will frick you over in good weather. All they care about is getting that contract signed.

I used premier south after some hail damage. I was initially leery of the guy. He and his crew did everything they said they were going to do.
I’d use them again.

I have also used premiere south after hail damage. A roof on two different homes actually. Did a good job both times.

Both homes have been through a couple hurricanes now and neither have had any shingle damage.

Was Premier South guy good in convincing the adjustor? I get an impression that Ryson roofing is aggressive in this matter.

Is it better to contact the roofing company first so they can fight with adjuster, or just have adjuster come look before contacting any roofing companies?

I'd want the roofer up there with the adjuster

If any roofing company is responding quickly right now I’d be leery. There’s probably a reason they aren’t slammed with business.

Like others in this thread, I have heard that Ryson comes across as pushy and slimy. I would stay away from anyone requiring that a contract be signed before they come out.

During a natural disaster there is going to be too much business and too many people that need their roof fixed ASAP for them to haggle prices. With thousands and possibly tens of thousands of roofs that need repaired it’s going to be “scope of loss plus deductible.”

When work is slow they will try to outbid but not now.

Some of these outfits won't give you an estimate! Instead they say they will work(wheel & deal) with the insurance company to try to get the most out of them that they can and then they will charge that much or more for the job. When I had to replace my roof a couple of years back, I went with someone that my builder recommended who was able to give me an actual estimate so that I could then compare with other estimates once my insurance company had approved an amount.
