TigrrrDad. Do you have an email I that I could reach out to you with?
I laid Centipede sod November 1. It took well and greened up before going dormant. I’m starting to get a few weeds pop up in the seams. Should I be doing any pre-emergent or weed and feed?

Are you doing this yourself? I have a giant mess of sweet gums in Ms that I need to tackle. But mixed in valuable hardwoods. Would love to hire someone to hack and squirt.

Rub a bar off of soap on the inside of belt carefully while motor is running. Seriously. It works. Better than any belt dressing. Just hold it against it for 5 seconds or so.

Cyber Monday deals

Is anyone seeing good cyber Monday deals? I missed out on the Black Friday sales, and it seems like some really good ones were posted here.

They seem to be healthier than everything else I see. What’s the opinion on these?

re: Taking Emergen-C vitamin C daily

I was taking it simply to try and avoid common cold, sinus inductions, etc. It seems to have worked very well.

I’m concerned if there are any negative effects, or better alternatives. I do eat satsumas when possible.
I’m seeing the exact same. Although I know eating satsumas, etc is the preferred method, it’s not feasible for me daily.

My main concern was if there was any negatives to taking daily.

Taking Emergen-C vitamin C daily

Posted by Shellbeacher on 12/12/22 at 2:01 pm
Are there any negatives to taking Emergen-C vitamin C powder once daily? It has 1000mg of Vitamin C. I've been taking it for months now and my immune system seems to be stronger than ever.

There is some sugar in it, but not sure how healthy the other ingredients are. If not Emergen-C, what's the board's go-to vitamin C supplement?
Was hoping we would get an update as well.
I see a few manufacturers online. Do you happen to know where you purchased?
I run a small industrial business that does sales and service to chemical plants/oilfield. We are looking for new ideas for promotional items with our logo to give to customers. Trying to think outside the box and get away from the standard hats, notebooks, pens, koozies, yeti cups, etc.

I’ve seen people private label seasoning blends, which I like. Any other ideas that cater to the “outdoors” people in Louisiana? Trying to find something outside the box that will actually get used. We plan to give to current customers, along with being able to give away at golf tournaments, customer events, etc. So budget can vary depending on who we want to give them to.

Not sure if this is the right board, but assumed there were plenty people in sales along with small business owners on here.

Thanks!
Is it better to contact the roofing company first so they can fight with adjuster, or just have adjuster come look before contacting any roofing companies?

We do repairs and new sales for a specific item in chemical plants. All work is done in our shop. No field work.

We have done a few interviews with people looking for $100-125k salary. However, these people are accustomed to handling Controller duties for a company that does 5x-30x our revenue.

This sounds similar to how we operate. We have a payroll company, and a CPA to do our taxes. Who does the banking? Who does the sales tax withholding as you’re invoicing?

I don’t disagree with that. And if it requires more money then that’s what we’ll do. We are just starting the process of finding someone.

Yes that's correct. As far as experience I'm not sure. We need someone that has handled the books for a business off our size in the past and is comfortable with wearing multiple hats as needed.

We only have 2 people in office besides controller. The others enter all info into Quickbooks, but controller is responsible for actually paying the bills and final invoicing. In addition to all banking, bookkeeping, payroll (we use a payroll company), reports, etc. this is a small business, so no accounting dept, etc.

We are looking for someone new to come in and help get our books, job costs, etc more accurate. We were hoping to be well under $100k, but we won't know until we do interviews. Which is why I was asking for input. I want someone sharp that can wear multiple hats if needed. We also want someone here in the office, not remote.
