So it's a MIRV ICBM with updates that have existed in great numbers since the 60's on both sides..... Got it. I will add panic and hysteria sessions to my lunch calendar next week.

PS.... (Yawn)

This is no different than the 1970s-1990s. They have always had the ability to wipe us out and we them. There was a time after the "cold war" we simply did not openly criticize each other (as much), but those days are over. But, I see no change at all in the ability to mutually destruct.

Whats the big deal>?

Supposedly this one has the ability to penetrate any known defensive measures and thus is unstoppable. But other than that, it's not much different than ICBM's that have been around for decades.

How would they test it then????

Exactly. Plus, they would be in violation of START. We are in the middle of a draw down. They don't need what they have now.

The use of such a weapon would be so incredibly stupid. The entire world would declare war on them and destroy them if they ever utilized a weapon like that. And the fallout and clouds of radiation would circle the globe for years affecting the entire world.

Not to mention, use of a bomb that big would throw the earth off its axis.

When has Russia ever cared about violating a treaty?

We are. They're not though.

I don't think we could use that argument to make them change their mind and not develop and deploy this missile system.

They're talking about testing the missile, not the warheads. It's destruction doesn't come simply from some new, ultra powerful nuke, it carries 12 warheads.

That's a lot of Tsar Bombas.

Moscow media is not an objective source.

It is expected to have a range of 10,000 km, allowing Moscow to attack European cities including London as well as major cities on America's west and east coasts.

Yeah, Hannibal and String tried to warn us.

We wouldn't listen.

They actually are.
We both are. We both lie about the amount we are drawing down, but it's not fiscally sound to maintain a bunch of nukes you don't need.

Not really. This thing has 12 warheads and could wipe out an area about the size of Texas. A dozen Czar bombs would wipe out an area probably about two times that size.
