Seems disrespectful to the men who sailed across the ocean to storm the beaches and liberate a foreign continent.

Just Belarus lost 2.3 million people in the war, more than 25% of its population.

The Soviets would not have been able to stay in the war early, once Barbarossa started, without American material and supplies.

America's lend-lease didn't even really make an impact until 1943. The impact by the UK's contributions were felt by mid 42. Barbarossa was a failure because the Soviets beat them. Case Blue was a failure because the Soviets beat them. Germany had no chance of winning after 41 and it had nothing to do with American/allied lend-lease.

At the end of the day, both the Allies (UK, US, France, et al) and the Soviets would have eventually won World War 2, with or without the other. The Axis never had a plausible and sustainable path to victory.

Bingo.

Watch Enemy at the Gates. It ends with the Battle of Stalingrad which was basically a meat grinder scenario for both sides!
