How so?

What was the purpose of this on our end?
Ukraine is a money pit for the American political establishment and their families. A month after our coup, the Vice President's son had an $83k per month gig with one of the largest companies in Ukraine. The only reason anyone in Washington gives a damn about Ukraine is to line their own pockets.

This is a stupid take that someone somehow feels the need to post in every thread on the topic.
You don’t have to think we need to send troops there (which I haven’t seen anyone so much as suggest as even a remote suggestion) to understand something like this may have implications that reach beyond just those immediate surroundings. Things don’t operate in a vacuum. Trying to pretend otherwise doesn’t make it so.

Russian intelligence intercepted a call between EU Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt discussing who would be installed to replace Yanukovych months before the coup took place.

It probably bears repeating because starting a new war (or supplying arms to our proxies) is the first, last, and only diplomatic response the United States has had since 1950.

How much dirty money is laundered in Ukraine that is filtered back to US politicians?

The United States was part of a coup in 2014 that overthrew the democratically elected Yanukovych regime. That sparked a civil war, a Russian invasion and a secession referendum in Crimea. As is usually the case, this heightened conflict can be directly traced to one place: the hallways of Langley, Virginia.
That's....that's some sort of revisionist history right there.
Yanukovych was a Russian puppet who THE PEOPLE overthrew because he refused to strengthen ties with the EU and NATO. He's currently living in exile...in Russia.
Also, frick Putin. Bitch needs to be put in his place. He knows his people are running out of patience with the economic situation there. The only thing he has left to get support is war.

Not just dirty money. Lobbying and consulting jobs over there are stocked with family members and associates of powerful American politicians. And that's not even touching how much of the "aid" we give them is re-routed into the the pockets of politicians through corrupt NGO's.

Is it really going to happen this time? People have been posting about this imminent invasion for a month now.
What do you think the time scale to prep for war is?

SClibertarian probably thinks Putin was “democratically elected.” Meanwhile Yulia Tymoshenko, who actually was a democratically elected, pro-Ukraine and Pro-Nato Politician, has repeatedly been persecuted and imprisoned on phony tax charges prompted by Putins proxies in Ukraine. SCL pretends to be some principled libertarian but literally just regurgitates a bunch of Q thread talking points.

Lol. The guy we backed to succeed Yanukovych won less than 25% of the vote in the latest Presidential election and that's considering the most pro-Yanukovych areas no longer vote in Ukrainian elections. He was our puppet and the Ukrainian people despised him (rightfully so).

Yanukovych literally defeated Yulia Tymoshenko in the Presidential election of 2010 in both the first and second round of ballots. He won by more than 1 million votes.

American diplomats discussing their opinions and preferences on the phone isn't a coup.

You’re right, I’m sorry. Opposition candidate yulia Tymoshenko was rewarded for her efforts to participate in nominally democratic elections and oppose Putins hand picked puppet by being sentenced to prison on fabricated tax charges. Sound familiar ?

Putin already holds all the cards here, he has won now that the EU bums have shot them selves in the foot on hydrocarbons

Microsoft recently announced that they are finding intert ransonware on all sorts of Ukrainian systems (govt and business).
It is just sitting there ready to be activated.
It also doesn’t have an unlock feature. When activated, everything on the system is gone.
So...if you start hearing about cyber attacks in Ukraine and data being lost, I would think an invasion would be imminent.
Russia is also pissed about Sweden possibly joining NATO. Over the weekend, drones were seen flying around nuclear and other government installations.
