No. The rumors in BR revolved around riots at the River Center downtown BR. They were very legit RUMORS nothing more. The women at my company were terrified and wanting to retreat to Livingston and Ascension parish at lunch.

Gas shortages after 9/11. I actually fell into the trap and waited 30 minutes for gas.

There were rumors non stop about evacuees rioting in downtown BR, people being shot in gas station parking lots, etc.
