My gf just got an IUD, and we are thrilled with it.
1) I wasn’t confident with condoms only bc we didn’t exactly have perfect usage
2) Gf is tiny (no pics), and she kept skipping periods on the pill, even with meds meant to induce one. We prefer some kind of indication that she’s not preggers if it’s something reliant on proper usage. I got tired of buying piss sticks. She also didn’t feel that great with systemic hormones - gained a little weight and had a few small acne outbreaks.
IUD is great. No “oops, I’ve got to take two pills today!” Although, it did hurt like a bitch apparently.

IUDs are good, unless they fall out like my wife's did 6 years ago. We now have a 5 year old from a failed IUD. Wife also had one come out about 2 months ago. I knew it was missing because I couldn't feel the strings when in the act.
