A national supermarket chain has signed a lease to build a roughly 30,000-square-foot grocery store in Rouzan, the Traditional Neighborhood Development in Southdowns. While Rouzan developer Charles Landry confirms the lease, he cannot not disclose the identity of the store just yet.

No longer a Spinosa project, right?

quote:

Though the announcement comes less than a month after Landry and businessman John Engquist acquired Rouzan from its original developer, Tommy Spinosa, Landry and Engquist do not own the 4.4-acre parcel fronting Perkins Road on which the new grocery store will be built. Rather, Spinosa retained that parcel, as well as a one-acre residential lot in the rear of the development, and will be the grocery store’s developer and landlord.

Interesting how this will work out...

Article says Spinosa retained the 4.4 acres the grocery will be on

Yeah that's wild. Tommy is not a dumb guy, but what a piece of shite human he is.

I know at least one of his kids personally, and he is a piece of shite too.

I have to admit, my hatred for him stems out of jealousy that he is 1 of 12 members of the Oak Grove Hunting Club

Definitely sounds reminiscent of his sale of Perkins Rowe, but not including the chilled water plant.

National chain makes this more interesting. I was really betting it would be a Rouses with their fast expansion throughout BR. I'm really hoping for a Publix or a Whole Foods.

I guess depending on how Spinosa and his relationship with Fresh Market went in Perkins Rowe, it could be one of those.
