I'm in ETx so forgive me. But don't you simply have a policy deductible relative to your home value or basically what your insurance thinks it is?

My friend owns a roofing coming in Lafayette so that’s who I would use. I am sure they aren’t cheap but it’s your roof.
Wouldn't insurance cover this?

Hurricane damage is usually a much higher percentage of your home’s value. From buddies, I have heard as low as 5% to as high as 10%.

People asking for quotes are the WORST btw. It doesn’t matter the price. You can’t keep any of the money. It’s insurance fraud. We do the roof for what your adjuster said it needs to be done for. Plain and simple. All you owe is your deductible.
This is absolutely correct.

What if the insurance only wants to pay for some of the roof to be replaced?

Most deductibles are 1 to 2%, never heard of one over 5%

Allstate tried to give me $1700 to replace the "damaged shingles only". I have a case manager coming Monday to take a closer look. The garage was pushed off the slab six inches but suuuuuure no need to replace the whole roof.

I know a guy right now with a 10% hurricane deductible. It’s out there, trust me.

Ah, so you're one of the Dbags that won't even do a quote? (just work through insurance so they can drastically overpay and the homeowner is none the wiser).
Straight slimeball sleeze.

$240/sq before Laura and anywhere from $275-$500/sq after here in LC. I booked at $296/sq and it’s going on today, some neighbors picked god awful colors for theirs.
