Guys do a little googling about this show and about J Hutton Pulitzer...

I completely disagree.

There is no way in hell that A&E, which owns the History Channel, would green light a hoax that would be easily disproven for ratings. This sword and the shipwreck would re-write the history of the Western Hemisphere. They wouldn't play games like this. The repercussions would be huge.

Basically everything they've done on that island has been a complete failure. I watched two shows this season, and the mf'ers still haven't found anything good

Why? It's been proven that the Vikings got here long before Columbus and that's had zero effect on the "history books."

For whatever reason, I LMAO at this post.

Could be a Roman sword carried by a Viking.

Probably a Mormon though

I'm holding out for the big reveal on their last show

It will be the Knights of Columbus and they hid the Holy Grail - maybe even the Ark of the Covenant.

Book it.

That doesn't explain all of the other things they found, per the OP.

BTW, thanks for joining the resistance and being brave enough to admit that Star Wars kinda sucked. You're a great American.

With as much as we know about the Romans, this is quite silly: the Romans or Phonecians did not have the boat technology to cross the Atlantic Ocean. The Vikings were only able to do it because they island hopped. Also, the Romans would have written about it. They wrote about everything. They wrote about the sexual preferences of provencial charioteers than a ducking giant continent?

Some people think the Egyptians could have made it to South America. I don't think there is a general consensus on this theory and I find it hard to believe myself but I guess its possible.

I don't think the Romans got to America, but they were badass regardless.

The sword in and of itself won't prove anything. It is going to hinge on this shipwreck where it was supposedly found. There are a lot of politics and craziness involved with shipwrecks. Things get crazy pretty quickly.

It is very possible that some later Europeans took a roman sword to America, It is very hard to know the truth.

TH proved that this is the case decades ago with the Kon-Tiki.
