I’ve been to New Orleans a few times. Made me very grateful to not live in that 3rd world country.

Have. Armpit of the world is Conakry Guinea. Gives you some perspective of how well we have it in the US.

No country can match the US. Parts of countries are pretty nice, but nothing comes close to America.

I've seen the UK, Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, and South Korea. I found many things to appreciate about each country. But there's still no place I'd rather live than the US. I like that I have freedom of speech, and that the government isn't the only one who can own firearms.

I hope everyone travels to other countries.

Favorite travel:
If you are a history geek I can’t recommend Greece+Turkey highly enough. A fricken unforgettable vacation. Just to stand at some of those sites is incredible.

Although I went to Iraq while in the army, we didn’t see any of the Sumer ruins. Hopefully in my lifetime that place gets it shite together and people can safely visit those sites.

Went to Dalmatia, Croatia, in 2019 and visited the islands and villages that my great-grandparents left behind for America in 1907. That area is essentially the Destin, Florida, of Europe, so the the locals treat you indifferently and coldly like beach tourists, but as soon as you tell them your family came from that town, they treat you like family. Cool experience.

Have been to ~30 countries. My experiences have definitely shaped how I view the world, but it's impossible to pinpoint how and to what extent. In some ways it makes you appreciate your home and what you have, and in other ways it keeps your eyes open to life's endless possibilities. Travel is good for the soul and so is returning home.

Three times. Bahamas, Mexico and Japan. While in Japan traveled all through the orient. All were cool, lived in Japan for18 months, the other two were vacations. Would go back to two of em.
