I don't exactly know how they measure those things but the face of that wave looks a lot higher than 82'.

This happened last year, but it takes time to authenticate the size of the waves. It’s in Nazare, Portugal. There’s an underwater canyon which creates some of the biggest waves on the planet. The people watching are actually standing on top of a huge cliff overlooking the surf.
