A hilux could probably carry that kind of weight, assuming you don't drop it 2ft into the bed. They are hella stout.

The pallet it facing the wrong way to unload as well. I wouldn’t put that on a 2 ton.

How was he going to get it out of the truck?

while it looks bad, i think the sound was the pallet, not the truck. I mean, it's stupid and bottomed out but the truck is probably fine.
Probably fine? What haha. I would of guessed closer to totaled then "fine" I can imagine a twisted frame doing this. I'm not an expert in dropping 5 ton boulders into trucks but that truck is broke.

Fake and staged for likes and shares
Posted on 11/4/24 at 7:09 pm to saintforlife1
That's a lot of stupidity to think you could do that with a Ranger.

How were they getting it out the truck? The pallet was sideways

The payload capacity of a Ford Ranger depends on the cab and bed configuration, and can range from 1,411 to 1,860 pounds
that's a '99 Ranger, not one of the newer "midsize"
and looks like a 2wd.
so payload is probably only around 1,200.
I had one that year model.
you could work the shite outta that truck, but this is a bit overboard.

Truck Nuts breaks Rock
Posted on 11/4/24 at 8:00 pm to saintforlife1
Had to be a goof. That truck was barely hanging on before the rock. It had a gangster lean
Posted on 11/4/24 at 8:19 pm to saintforlife1
Stupid and had to be staged. No one with a right mind would do that stuff to their vehicle.

There's no evidence that there's damage to the truck. It didn't taco the bed, the wheels still appear to be at at 90 deg to the ground so it doesn't appear the axle is bent. The tires aren't even flat.
I'm not saying it's drivable with the rock in it, just bottomed out.
people keep quoting payload capacities, clearly it's over. but that's safe payload capacity.
