12 hours of tuition and required fees (full time), the cheapest housing assignment, and a full meal plan, is $20,820 per semester, not counting books and other bullcrap fees (Like $281 per semester for parking - holy crap).

Tuition, fees, and books at Morehouse are $14k a year
Tuition alone (no fees, no books, no room, and no meal plan) is over $25,000 for two semesters of a normal load. It is clear in the PDF you posted. It is clear if you are simply writing a check it is certainly over $30k per year.

It states the total of fees tuition and books is $14,101 for two semesters "Total Tuition and Fees" "12-18 hours" "Fall/Spring"
ETA, they dont say if semester or yearly, but they present it as total

The system isnt broken, people take advantage of the "system" and make very bad decisions
This story aside, the system is most definitely fricking broken.
Banks should not give out loans for majors that don't earn money after graduating.
Universities need to stop spending money in ludicrous ways and focus on two things: revenue generating investments OR academic improvement investments. Then they need to lower tuition with the savings.
Look at Purdue LINK
They cut spending on stupid shite, enacted a "tuition reimbursement" model for students to pay the university back directly instead of getting student loans, etc.

Is this related to the kid that played at LSU?

Banks no longer issue student loans, Obama nationalized them in 2010.

That is for one semester. Just to make sure you don't keep going in circles this is from the 2017/2018 PDF:
TUITION AND TUITION---RELATED CHARGES
account.
Tuition per semester (for a minimum of 12 semester hours and a maximum not to exceed 18 semester hours)……...…….. $12,528
Morehouse tuition
They show the grand total for the year on campus as a minimum of $42k on campus and 28K off.

Unfortunately, I think now every college kid will think that there is a “chance” that it will happen to them as well.
Exactly. Re-enforcing that "free-ride" mentality.

But 200K for undergrad, requiring 8 different people to co-sign loans... the system is broken. I'm assuming that 50K a year covers all of his living expenses as well, but damn.
His family should’ve sent him to a different school to get a generic finance degree but I guess it worked out for him

No shite. Instead of working your way through college could have borrowed 200k and had a hell of a time
