Well, it is. You should really get out more. And your Winbourne insinuation is equally as asinine. S. Acadian is right around some very affluent and high-demand areas.

North Acadian might be worse than Winbourne

I didn't understand that .gif either. Government street is showing growth and new businesses are opening all over it. The multi million dollar road updates are a sign as well.

So you can admit the absurdity of such a question. Good for you.

Which has zero impact on the home values in Hundred Oaks.

So the N. Baton Rougians will have a nicer road to run on after they rob you at gunpoint.

Yeah, but Hundred Oaks drags down the values of Steele Place.

I feel for those people that have to live next to the slums.

No one is talking value here. Hundred Oaks houses will always sell in this housing market. That still does not stop the sharp increase in break-ins in the neighborhoods. There are shootings blocks from those homes -- most recently at Nairn Drive by the old Valley Park. So Government Street expanding and garnering a bunch of new businesses is going to make crime disappear? Sounds familiar.

Yes, my Winbourne comment was hyperbole. I do remember the days of the Bombay Bicycle Club and the Red Roof Inn and LaQuinta. South Acadian was practically an extension of LSU's campus. And fwiw, I work right off of Government.

I'll soon be able to walk from White Star Market at Square 46, past Curbside across from Roccas to a new Wine bar, and the Beer Garden they are breaking ground on. I'll be a 5 minute drive from the all new Entergy building development and pass almost a dozen new restaurants on the way.

All the while paralleling Captial Heights.

An armed man wearing a shirt on top of his head robbed the Courtyard by Marriott hotel on South Acadian Thruway early Friday morning.

Baton Rouge Police said a black male suspect walked into the hotel at 2:30 a.m. with a handgun demanding money. They said he then grabbed the money and fled the scene in an unknown direction. ...
