Accurate enough for me. I grew up in Uptown.

any list that has pontchartrain park and venetian isles below little woods is fake news
Surprised by the Venetian Isles ranking because overall, the homes are nice and big and all waterfront. It could be due to the lack of services and amenities out there. It is purely residential with no grocery stores or pharmacies or restaurants, etc. Most of the people there have to go to Slidell for all of that

Whoop whoop!
List seems accurate but my neighboring neighborhood, West Riverside should be in top 4. In regards to safety, no way the lower garden dist is safer than West Riverside
The $98k medium income for Audubon seems way low.

Lakeshore/Lake Vista >>> Lakeview

Would lake vista be all those streets named after birds? I’ve been to some parties at a few of those houses and they are awesome.

Yes. Lake Vista has better/wider roads with no thru traffic, bigger lots with larger setbacks, and is higher elevation than Lakeview. It is a nicer neighborhood and should be higher on the list.

More like three white people live there. I grew up there, so don't try to fool me.

New Orleans is a bad neighborhood.

I still wonder what the hell people in New Orleans do for a living to afford the vastly overpriced housing.

Most of the OT knows nothing about neighborhoods like this in Nola. They think that it's just Bourbon Street and projects.

One of my favorite neighborhoods in New Orleans. If I ever get my come up I’ll be a resident, especially if I can get my hands on one of those Mid Mons.
Until then...

Honestly a lot of old money running family ran businesses, finance people, doctors, lawyers, snow birds second homes, people who work remotely and choose to live in a badass city etc. There are jobs here but a lot of the times you need an in to work for them. Also, out of town companies buying up properties for section 8 and Airbnb rentals.

How does one afford a $370k house on 44k?
Probably a lot of investor-owned homes (aka Section 8). High sale value because HUD is paying 70% of the rent.
