Went to college in that area and have floated hundreds of times

Comal and San Marcos are short but beautiful. They seem so tropical and you can't beat the color of the water and clearness. You can see the fish swimming.

San Marcos

Comal

Guadelupe depends on how high the river is. If it's not flowing well it's an all-day thing. They've had lots of rain which is good unless it recently flooded then its white-water rafting.

Id get a house outside the NB city limits on the Guadelupe. Go float with a cold Lone Star in your hand, go get cleaned up, dinner in Grune then go see a concert at Whitewater amphitheater. Perfection to me

Whitewater

haven’t been tubing since I was a teenager. Are the rivers cold?

I went to the Guadalupe River middle of June last year and it was cold. But it was 95 outside which made it refreshing

With a state with so much water, it is funny that the kayaking culture hasn't caught on

feel like we are missing the rapids that make kayaking fun.

I have a nice scar on my right ankle and foot from floating it after a big rain back in the late 90s. It was so bad that they had lifeguards in certain areas and I somehow got caught under a river raft and it dragged me over rocks under water. If it wasn't for the lifeguards pulling me out I may not be here? FYI I held onto my beer!
