Eckards in Plaquemine by the old Winn Dixie. That's my childhood.

CVS will be the last one standing. Vertical integration with CVS Caremark will make sure of that.

I miss Eckerd's. When I was a kid they were the only store in town that sold comic books. When my mom would drop me off to visit my grandmother, I would walk a block over to the local Eckerd's and get a coke, a snickers and a couple of comic books.

Louisiana Hayride - last I heard they're owned by some old lady who refused to sell for any price. I'm sure you could do something with that name. Maybe a music festival.
We've got the Kentucky Lawnmower. I'm sure you've heard of the Alabama Hot Pocket. How about a Louisiana Hayride?

Hibernia Bank.
I had a Hibernia Tower account for years till Capital One bought them out…
Got rid of that Capital One account when they started that Coffee shop banking BS, and closed all the banks where I basically used all the ATMs…
With Handcock Whitney now.

Yep. Remember it well. We had one in our hometown right next to Food World.

Best ice cream ever. RIP K&B
My grandfather on my Dad's side always had some K&B ice cream in the freezer. Back when it was just a cardboard brick, no buckets or lids or anything like today.

Except in Arkansas where it is illegal for a PBM to own a pharmacy.

quote:i saw a pristine condition K&B beer can at a flea market in Louisville years ago - I had no way of transporting it home in good condition so I didn't buy it. Really wish I would have figured out a way, that'd have been an awesome relic.
Sad that K&B sold out to these bums. I miss K&B and the swinging gate doors.

I really hope that law holds up to the legal challenges, but I’ve spoken with some lawyers at our state agency that regulates PBMs and they have their doubts.
