Well, that's 2 out of the original 6 members of Monty Python that have passed away. He had a fairly long life to live to 77 but the last few years had to be hell with him suffering from dementia to the point of even losing his ability to speak.

Graham Chapman, the first of the cast to die was only 48 when cancer took him.
