Actually Whitesnake had been headlining in Europe for years before Here I Go Again. Slow nEasy was a big hit across the pond. But Kitaen had also been doing Coverdale since 85 and he put her in "The Heat of the Night" She was pretty hot in that too.

My roommates and I rented a movie with her in which she got naked, it may have been witch board. In one scene, she runs out of the shower, and we tried our best to get our vcr to stop at the point where we might see her bush, but she strategically moved her hands over it. We tried for a while just to see even a tiny bit of it. She was fine I the 80s.

My sister (no pics) once had a blind date with Chuck Finley when they were at NLU. He was later married to Tawny Kitaen until she beat the shite out of him with her high heel. So, three degrees of separation

I have two things to add to this thread.
First, Tawny had an affair with OJ in the 1980s. This was around the same time she was dating Robbin "King" Crosby (RIP) of Ratt. She confided in Robbin that OJ had a problem with uncontrolled rage and was prone to violent jealousy. Nicole Brown Simpson would be murdered years later after leaving OJ and dating other men, proving Tawny sadly prophetic.
Second, with respect to her second band, Whitesnake, the reason why there were two versions of Here I Go Again was Geffen's brilliant A&R man John Kalodner. In the early 80s Whitesnake was a middling rock band fronted by David Coverdale, who was Deep Purple's third lead singer. Kalodner saw the potential, signed the band, overhauled its lineup and sound, and had them re-record a couple of their better early tracks, including Here I Go Again. The rest, as they say, is rock and roll history.

The original White snake video you could see her left boob flash. It was when she was hanging out the car door window as it was driving down the street. The wind blew her top open. I had it on VHS. A few weeks later they edited that part at.
