Do they not have prisoners cleaning it up any more?

It's a pity that our kids wont be able to enjoy LSU tailgating like we did as students.

Finally a step in the right direction! In fact, there shouldn't even be a student section. All you little "suck that tiger dick bitches" should be relegated to watching the game on a flatscreen in the quad.

Won't this just prompt them to throw unofficial tailgate parties elsewhere on campus? Probably at a spot some family has been tailgating at for years. Then we can have another round of threads about people taking other peoples tailgating spots.

I've only been to two games at Tiger Stadium - back when I was a student in the 90s - so I'm completely ignorant to y'alls rules and stuff.

Are fraternities really not allowed to have tailgate at their houses? And they have to have a third party vendor there to provide alcohol?

When we go to games in Tuscaloosa, we always stop by my husband's fraternity house or my sorority house for lunch and drinks and they have pledges working the bar for alumni and the actives just have their own coolers of beer or handles of liquor and mix up their own drinks.

I tried looking up UA's policies to see if they have instituted some rules I don't know about but I couldn't find anything like the kind of rules that LSU seems to have.

That really sucks. I love going back on gameday to visit our houses. Hell, when we were students only "old people" and alumni tailgated on the quad or around the stadium - students always tailgated at greek houses or apartments or wherever we lived.

Of course, back in the olden days, most of the games were at 11:30 or 1:00 - so most of the time we didn't even tailgate because we were hungover from the night before.

Maybe I've misunderstood but it just seems crazy to me that fraternities can't have tailgates at their houses.

LSU Students need to make their voice heard about this. LSU is going way overboard on their crusade against the fun of being a college student. At some point the restriction of rules and regulations becomes worse than the problems that they seek to decrease. This is a public university and I believe most people in this state believe that students should be allowed to have a good time on gamedays without the burden of school regulations. Fighting this will require the organization of present and former students showing that we will not stand for the excessive regulations put on college students that restrict their ability to enjoy their youth and learn about personal choice/responsibility.

Why is it frowned upon to throw your beer cans and bottles on the ground? What about rib bones? The strays got to eat too.

Older generations?

I'm assuming you were born in 1987 with that handle, a year older than me.

To me this really doesn't sound relevant. Students will still have a good time tail gating regardless of if they can play beer pong or not.
