not legally.

the reason frats moved from the houses is because of the third party vender BS. They won't return as long as that is a rule.
Unintended consequences due to overregulation. liberal 101

pre approved 3rd party vendor = kickbacks?

To the guy who said LSU partnering with the ABC wasn't an issue just a few years ago, that's BS. My sister got a MIP ticket for drinking underage at a tailgate when she was a Junior in HS. It was done by a task-force with plainclothes folks from ABC and LSU admin folks.
Which was in 1994. So unless your frame of reference for, "just a few years ago," was 1993 (or almost a quarter century ago now) you're wrong. It's been going on for awhile now.
Just remember that in 1994, the drinking age was 18. A HS junior getting caught now drinking would stir up a much bigger raucus.

As for the rest of you, it's easy to see you're all still students. You haven't quite grasped the ability to think long-term yet.
Someone landed a close one though with that F King Alexander quote. It's alllllll about revenue opportunities and the LSU Administration's never-ending, bloodlust-esque thirst for never-ending expansion of revenue generation.
But what's easier to do in your view? They tried to move the RV's away from the Stadium over a decade ago while Skip was in charge to free up prime parking spots to sell off to the highest bidders, which generated more revenue for LSU.
They tried to institute parking passes that had to be bought at locations in and around Baton Rouge the night before a game during Alleva's tenure and it fell flat on its face. The pending traffic nightmare of people who didn't realize and just showed up trying to park would've caused a cataclysmic reckoning from the fanbase.
So now where can they grab some more money?
How about the single, primest tailgating real-estate on campus? Well how do you go about it? Well, if you're going to auction that sh!t off to the highest bidder, first you have to get the riff-raff out. Which means the out of control frats and other belligerent students.
How much easier is it to police the 25-49 demographic at corporate tailgates for CB&I, MMR, Brown & Root, etc than to try and manage student groups led by frat tailgates?
Not to mention...which of those groups has more buying power to pay the blood money I'm certain LSU's sure to ask for?
Frat-stars or companies that fuel and fund the jobber programs for Football every year and pay huge corporate dollars in sponsorships?
The end-game here is to put the frats back in their front yards to tailgate, and raffle off the prime tailgating area to more easily-managed, less hassle, more monied corporate tailgates from here on out.
This is just the opening salvo of a somewhat slow ground-war that you know in your heart of hearts whose going to win.
All of that can be summed up with this- It's not about the students. LSU doesn't care about its students. They care about the money their football team brings in, and making sure the nanny state gets its fill to enable it.

That test needs to have one question: Do you yell STTDB and ruin Neck, the greatest game day song ever played, for everyone?
Students will always yell something. I think the shite is funny. People yell "kick their arse" instead of "LSU". They dont play "ooweeeoo" people the student section yells "you suck".. When they cut out neck, I was pissed, thats my favorite all because the student section yelled "suck that tiger dick bitch". I know its because it can be heard on TV, but let the network deal with that.

They wouldn't do this if the parade ground didn't look like a landfill every Sunday morning.
Yes. I know the prisoners pick it up by noon.

quote:not necessarily. they just have to pay a bar/restaurant to come out there and sell alcohol. When i was social chair they would really only sell like a couple icechests full and that was once everyone ran out of their own stuff.

Fuentes-Martin said there would be no “common-source containers of alcohol,” like “tiger punch, jungle juice,” or other unlabeled drinks where people aren’t informed about the contents.
There would also be no glass containers allowed anywhere on campus, and no drinking games that encourage rapid consumption of alcohol.
She’s also asking students to weigh in on changes to how alcohol is served at tailgates for tailgates hosted by student organizations and clubs.
This is what happens when you let the SJW feminist prog crowd run your colleges.
She should be forcibly ousted by the student body. Driven from campus with a sea of torches and pitchforks behind her.

gotcha. just wondering how they get "pre-approved".
Posted on 4/5/16 at 3:54 pm to MorbidTheClown

They are making great strides to frick up everything that was once beautiful about LSU gameday.

This makes me appreciate finishing LSU in 2011.. just before this social media age PC Bro culture erupted and began ruining everything fun.

Meh, I think both political parties contributed to this. I do wish that the students actually controlled stuff like this on campus. There's no reason why voting age adults shouldn't be able to dictate how their tuition dollars are spent.
I do agree that she should see a sea of torches and pitchforks in her rear view mirror on her way out of BR.
MADD must be having wet dreams over the possibilities of these new policies.

The first two paragraphs of your post will only be enforced when there's a chance for ABC to collect fines.
Almost all tailgates have communal drinks, there is at least some glass at every tailgate, and you can make any game into a drinking game

I agree that it's ridiculous how bad the campus is trashed but there is other ways of enforcing that. It will slowly get choked down more and more just like everything else.
