Here was Norm’s most fricked up joke on Update and Norm said the dress rehearsal audience almost rioted:

“In other news, Woody Allen is dating again!”

Some of the funniest Norm you will see is him on Conan making fun of Andy Rictor.

Conan on Norm’s death:

quote:

I am absolutely devastated about Norm Macdonald. Norm had the most unique comedic voice I have ever encountered and he was so relentlessly and uncompromisingly funny. I will never laugh that hard again. I'm so sad for all of us today.

We’re going to find no shortage of hilarious footage of Norm and stories about Norm. The guy was a fricking legend.

Jim Breuer has some stories about Norm behind the scenes at SNL and they’re a riot.

One of my all time favorites. Norm and Farley reunited.

Letterman on Norm’s death:

quote:

In every important way, in the world of stand-up, Norm was the best. An opinion shared by me and all peers. Always up to something, never certain, until his matter-of-fact delivery leveled you.

I was always delighted by his bizarre mind and earnest gaze. (I’m trying to avoid using the phrase, “twinkle in his eyes”). He was a lifetime Cy Young winner in comedy. Gone, but impossible to forget.

Norm Macdonald fought cancer for nine years and didn’t tell anyone.

He was at an interview with the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year. Asked the player how hard it would be to win his Rookie of the Year award next year.

There is a great compilation on YouTube. It spans the course of like 15 years, and every single time Norm shows up on Conan, his first move is to make fun of Andy for being a homo

It all leads up to his master stroke “Andy Richter the Swedish German”

"When I hear a guy lost a battle to cancer, that really did bother me, that that's a term. It implies that he failed and that somebody else that defeated cancer is heroic and courageous." - Norm MacDonald, 2011

This news greatly saddens me.

He would have been the GOAT ‘I don’t give a shite, tell it like it is’ old man had he lived into his 80s.

So glad I got to see him and Colin Quinn in Lake Charles right before the pandemic.
