And if the sky we look upon
Should ever crumble and fall
And the mountains should fall, to the sea
No, I won't be afraid
No, I won't shed a tear
Just as long
Just as long as you stand by me

I actually know a cousin to them. He's a preacher man and can play the piano too. Amazing how many talented people came out out of that family.

There’s another older cousin, Carl McVoy, that heavily influenced all three, especially Jerry Lee.

He also spent a number of years in the music industry as both a recording artist and session musician.

I remember how "Looking for Love" would empty almost all the seats at dance halls back in those days. Everyone hit the dance floor for that one.

Good times.

That movie sold a ton of hats and boots. And mechanical bulls. And mezcal with the worm.

The Lewises lived in Ferriday, Louisiana, and Jerry Lee was born on September 29, 1935, six months after his cousin Jimmy Swaggart and six months before another cousin, Mickey Gilley. “I got talent, you two got the scrapin’s,” Jerry Lee joked at a family reunion.
