LOL, you didn't know him very well. He went from model Army officer to drug and booze fueled hippie because “I fell in love with the songwriter life” after Vietnam. His own words. His politics were left of Left and he was vocal about the American media having a “right wing bias”.
Dude was a talented entertainer, but Very much one of the White Guys for Kamala crowd.

Who gives a crap? Seriously? Who cares?
Dude could write the hell out of a song and then turn around and sing the hell out of that song. He was a great, great guy.
Can some of y'all just set politics aside for like... 2 seconds? Or does it seep into every single area of your existence?

Was it KK that was the janitor at the recording studio to be around the scene and Cash wouldn't record unless he could play on the song?

Yes.
At least that's the story I have always heard.

Dude decides one day to write a gospel song, writes one of the best of all time.
You could make a record of just covers of that song. Cash, Merle, Elvis, Willie, Ray Charles, everybody.

Singer, uhh no. But an amazing, talented and intellegent person. He never was afraid to bet on himself. He took a job as a janitor at a studio, so he could pitch his songs to artists.

I’ve never listened to a playlist of KK songs. Till Friday. My wife asked me if he was alive or dead, I said I thought he was dead. I feel bad for some dumb reason.

The guy I was responding to was mistaken about his ideas. I was just informing him. Kristofferson certainly would have. It wasn't even a judgmental post. Just stating facts about what the guy thought. Lighten up.

RIP to a true legend and one of the greatest songwriters who's ever lived.
This one hurts.
