Saw that on yahoo today. Crapped on my day a little bit.

ETA Funny and relevant from 1977 to 2007 and beyond. Not many can say that.

Would it be fitting when they carry out his coffin, somebody breaks into, "There she was, just a-walkin down the street..."

RIP Harold and Thanks

Quite possibly one of the best lines in a comedy...

To all the Spaulding Smails of the world, more than a few who have matriculated at LS & U, Ramis gave you a name.

Lots of Facebook "RIP" posts from people who hardly knew the guy. Same people who went overboard with Paul Walker and Philip Hoffman's death. It's strange. Every celebrity to pass was their favorite.

I would tend to agree, but this is VERY different. This man played a significant role in the culture, along with being very important to people on a very personal level.

I felt bad for Hoffman and Walker, but they didn't have nearly the effect on culture and my life than Ramis, and their deaths were due to their own stupid choices.

Walker,

Not really fair to say that about Walker. He was a passenger in a car driven by a former professional driver, and while they were speeding, you can't put him in the same class as a junkie.
