To be in wrestling in the party era that he was in wherein your body is just abused, and you medicate it with drugs and alcohol, and to make it to 79 years old and die of natural causes is a rarity. That guy got lucky.

When I began watching him, he was a good guy. I think he was feuding against savage.

Bruno sammartino picked him out when he was just wrestling around the Detroit area. He was a very intelligent man who also earned a masters degree.

Some of my last memories with my grandpa before he had alzheimers were of watching wrastling, and the animal was his favorite.
RIP, you filthy animal!
