No. Dude was a legit talent. Listen to him sing "Kissing a Fool." Dude pulled off a late 50's/early 60's crooner type song as well as it can be done.

As you listen to "I want your sex" keep in mind that he played every instrument on the song. Between his crazy vocals, the fact that he was kind of a mad scientist in the studio is the other unique thing about George Michael. Not that he was a guitar wizard like Prince but that he kept it simple and arranged the music around that amazing voice. The voice was first. And he had a great feel for layering vocals. He'd nail these crazy fat high notes and lay down a nice low foundation on the same song. He was a rare vocal talent.

The raw emotional almost pleading on Father Figure (the 4:30 mark) is a vocal tour de force. LINK

I wasn't a fan of George Michael when he was popular, but I am definitely a fan of (most of) his music now.

One More Try

Dude was a helluva artist but overall an underrated musician. RIP George.

Thank you. Whether you like his music or not, dude was fricking talented. He was kind of like the Lady Gaga of the 80's/early 90's, but more talented. You can not like their music, but you can't say that they weren't great at what they do.

Faith was an incredible. Before he came out women were throwing themselves at him in the 80's.

I remember growing up thinking that that guy must bang the hottest women on the planet anytime he wants. His videos always had smokeshows in them and the songs were normally about sex.

I felt like Austin Powers finding out about Liberace when I learned GM was gay.

I remember GM saying in an interview years ago that he was afraid to get tested for HIV because he was sure he had it. You can't "beat it" if you are in the dark about your status. Look, anything can kill a person so I'm not trying to paint him with the HIV brush, but if he did have it, it's possible he didn't even know until it was too late.

Wow, that's a crazy attitude.

Didn't Prince kill himself because he had it but didn't want it to get into the news?

Cause Trump spells God's name with a capital G. Show some respect.

And God is conservative so he's really enjoying watching all the libtards melt.

All of the great Seventies and Eighties musicians are biting the dust right and left now. Dropping like flies.
