He was too funny and I cough up a lung laughing so hard when I watch those old roasts. Man, he was great. Reminds me of watching Carson growing up.

Saw him in Vegas in the late '80s. Still the funniest person I've ever seen. His ability to improvise was incredible. The GOAT.

This is also the 1 year Anniversary of Merle Haggard's passing. Which also happens to be the one year anniversary of me stumbling across Sturgill Simpson as an artist.
