I was a huge fan of this show back in the day, one of the better shows MTV has ever done.

Their falling out was during the Rob and Big show. If I remember correctly, it's what ended the show after only 3 seasons.
They reconciled later because he was on Fantasy Factory for several seasons.

He literally carried that show due to dyrdek's shitty schtick
Of course, I'm 30 now and I know MTV isn't really catered towards my age group but he tries to make jokes about the videos on the show and it just doesn't work. He basically just makes a funny voice and says something stupid and they put the fake laughter on. Big Black made the show they had together, IMO. He seemed like a good hearted, genuinely funny dude.
Anyways, enough of my little rant. I hate to hear of this and prayers sent to his family and friends.
