A New Orleans police officer shot and killed an 18-week-old puppy in the yard of a Lower Garden District home while responding to a 911 call Saturday night. The New Orleans Police Department has released few details about the incident. But a source with knowledge of the investigation said officers went through a gate in the 1400 block of Felicity Street at 9:30 p.m. to investigate a complaint about loud voices and unexpectedly encountered two dogs.

So some a-hole cops were trespassing and then killed a puppy because they're scared little pussies.

Hmmm....maybe if you didn't go through a gate only to "investigate loud voices" you wouldn't encounter dogs that are often behind fences with gates.

ETA: I hope those frickers are fired.

I would try to kill a home invader before calling the police so the cops don't kill me or any of my family, including my pup, on accident. It happens a lot.

The dog was white so there’s nothing to see here.

One was a puppy that weighed about 30 pounds and the other was a larger dog weighing about 65 pounds, the source said. An officer fired his service pistol, killing the puppy, though it was not immediately clear which animal he was aiming at.

Maybe he was trying to warn the larger dog.

If only they had drawn guns

Drawing is very relaxing

A DINK couple I know had two pit bulls. They would always say “it’s how they’re raised.”

Last weekend the dogs started going after each other, the wife intervenes and ends up being mauled. They were sad to put down the smaller one because of injuries. They’re still making excuses.

I like that they kind of pass over that a human was shot as well and taken to the hospital.
