I harbor preferences, I harbor absolute exasperation that race is even a thing at all, I harbor disgust that race, like many other pigeonholes, is routinely weaponized.
Had I my druthers, race and ethnicity would only be counted and useful in areas that matter- like in medicine. It's far past time that checkboxes go the hell away.

Video isn’t as bad as article makes it out. Not defending them but did they know the resident was black? Or were they just drunk acting stupid in front of a camera? Is there any backstory where they and the black resident had conflict?
Seems more context is needed to determine if there was racist intent. And 3rd girl should be left alone she did nothing at all

This. I was at a bar in college and a black guy came up to me (didn’t know him and never spoke to him or saw him before) and claimed I called him “boy” and demanded I apologize. I didn’t, so I told him no I didn’t say that you must have me confused for someone else. He got all mad and in my face and was about 1/3 my size. Long story short it was a power trip and he wanted a big white man to cower to him. Well I got pissed and what I said to him was far worse than “boy”

What this SHOULD show and your average mouth breather on the internet doesn’t get is racism exists EVERYWHERE and Ole Miss is not chock full of just southern belle white chicks. The Midwest has just as many prejudiced people as anywhere. It’s not just a “southern thing”.
The internet and social media have made places like Ole Miss attractive for students everywhere.

I don’t agree with it but I’m not getting worked up over it

Nothing is impossible and I’ve seen people get out of situations because some things just cannot be proven. It will help their situations tremendously if these girls didn’t know each other at all and they just wanted to “clown” someone’s ring cam. They chose poorly in acting like monkeys, but what if they instead had just said “six Seven six seven!” I know this is reaching. But how can you prove racism?
^Fwiw, I don’t believe the scenario I just painted. But if these girls get lucky enough to stay in school and that apartment complex, they need some “glove don’t fit, must acquit” magic to occur. Are they lucky enough to have taken a behavioral psychology class that same day and a professor had a lecture on animal noises made by humans and their affects on other humans?
