Finally, Louisiana does something I can be proud of...should have had the kids with past due balances in a dunking booth or something though
"Noel Estes was incredulous when she saw the flyer from her child's Slidell-area elementary school on Facebook.
Surrounded by cartoon drawings of smiling children, it urged students to get their cafeteria bills paid up by Thursday so they could go to the gym for a "Cafeteria Zero-Balance Event" that promised hula-hoops, basketball and other games for those who didn't owe money."

I thought kids get free lunch if they are poor? So you would actually have more poor kids than kids whose parents had the means but just didn’t pay it.

No, but it does teach them a valuable lesson about the consequences of being a deadbeat....they should be thankful the school cares more about them than their parent do

We found one who does not pay his kids lunch bill.
Honestly this usually has little to do with lunches and is normally kids charging junk food and cokes, low income lunches are free.
