Fractured his back in a small plane crash about 2-3 years into his career.
Pilot died, Johnny Valentine and Bob Bruggers retired from injuries, Mr Wrestling Tim Woods was able to resume his career.

Later that night they went into a bar and Flair was in there buying drinking for the whole bar. He spent about $8k in about two days just buying drinks for everyone and throwing it around.
