Rev. Raymond Fitzgerald diagnosed with ALS (Jesuit High School)

Rev. Raymond Fitzgerald, S.J., the president of Jesuit High School for the past two years, announced to the school community Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease, and intends to step down from his post.

Yea, got the email earlier. He officiated my wedding less than 2 months ago. Sad stuff indeed.

That sucks. I had an uncle die from that 10 years ago. One of the strongest men i have ever met reduced to typing with his toes and in tears at one point because he couldn't even tell his daughter that he loved her (at the end my aunt was the only one who could understand what he was trying to say). Both this and Alzheimer's can go die in a fire.
