Years ago I did temp work when I got laid off. Every work I had to report the hours worked and the money made. Unemployment made up the difference between the money made and the money unemployment allowance. That way I got accept temp assignments and still make ends meet until I found a full time job.
This was in Cali so not sure if it works that way in other places.

That’s how it is in Louisiana. My wife is working one day a week which depending on how many hours falls around the $247 limit. I told her to watch the clock and “clock out” at around $230. She may work a couple hours for free but still comes out ahead.

I don’t think you get cut off from underemployment benefits just because you made more than the max.

I think the law is that you must be considered full time. But that varies from state to state. Full time is over 30 hours in some places and over 32 in others.

I was asked by corporate if I was interested in coming off furlough and working 24-25 hours/wk. They told me nothing was final and it wasn't mandatory.
Would have cost me all UE and I would have to start paying my insurance premiums that they are currently covering. I gave them a very polite No.

Almost correct... Ga. rules (for partial unemployment only) that you take your net pay and add $50. Then, if that amount is under the $365 max per week, you get Ga. unemployment benefits. So, if you make $314 working reduced hours, the you get;
Ga. benefit = $51
Fed benefit = $600
paycheck from employer= $314 (3 days per week)
Total = $965 net
normal 40 hr paycheck = $525
This person would have no motivation to work over 3 days per week.

Is the $600 a flat amount regardless of what you earned before or what state is also paying?
I was looking at Texas workforce site and used $600 a week earnings because of fed payment. The estimator did not include Fed just graphic that showed $600 if qualified. Someone earning $600 a week in 2019 could end up getting around the max of $520 a week from Texas plus the $600 a week from feds for a total of $1120 a week through December 31st? Or would Fed amount just add up enough to make person whole at $600 a week?

You have to report it to UI or they can come after you for fraud. Some employers report refusals to UI.
You can still work part time and possibly still get benefits, depending on the stTe

Most states have a certain income limit then you're not getting benefits. Its unique to your wBA
