Welcome to the wonderful world of VA! Don't delay filing a claim for hearing loss. Getting in the queue asap is a smart move right now. Gov support for VA waxes and wanes over the decades. Might be a long dry spell starting yesterday.

Funniest shite every was watching young privates take exhaust samples and look for soft spots in armor of the RG's. Had a mechanic give one a voltage meter to use on VIC's.

Having someone believe they can pull start a HMMWV was one of the funniest things I have ever seen

OIF 1. I loved it. I was 22 and in a transport company. Drove all over Iraq sleeping on our trucks. Had all sorts of missions like towing MIGs back onto base. My two best friends from that time are also retiring as a 1SG and CW3 and I still see them at least once or twice a year.
None. I went all in on everything - boards, PT, education, etc. I chugged the Kool-Aid. My team and platoon sergeant told us Jody stories before going to Iraq and I dumped my girlfriend on the spot so I could just full Army.

Where in FL did you land? Just the county. I don't need your address.

Thank You Sir...
Where were you when I was young and needed to hear that message. I have regrets and I can't go back and change it.
Good Luck to you Sir in your retirment. And if I ever meet you, the beer is on me.

Same… kind of wish I went this route.
(Other than kids, wife, etc…. It if they could stay the same..)
Scored high on the asvab. (?) test. So recruiters said I would start off at x position ( which I think is better gen normal… idk, 25 years ago)
But I was told to go to college.. it didn’t matter for what… just get a degree.
Yea I’ve never had to sweat, etc… but now I see all my buddies who barely passed high school making more money than me.. had to work harder at first, but now they are bosses, supervisors. Etc..

Pretty sure there’s a worse worst-case scenario than this if you sign up to go to war. You a recruiter?

Thanks. I did the BDD process and am already complete. Had a good VSO in Colorado Springs gave him POA he pulled all my records and scheduled everything was pretty smooth. Will find out my rating once I'm officially out in June.

Death is always on the table regardless of what you do. Look at car crash numbers. And no not a recruiter.
