Olivia Jackson, one of the stunt doubles on the forthcoming ‘Resident Evil’ movie, 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’, is to have her arm amputated after a motorbike stunt on-set went horribly wrong.
The 34-year-old South African-born stuntwoman, who also appeared in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, spent two weeks in a medically-induced coma after she hit a metal camera arm while filming in South Africa in September.
“My left arm is paralysed and is going to have to be amputated,” she told The Sun.
“My facial scarring is horrible and I wish I had my old face. But I’m truly grateful to be alive.”
In October, she revealed the extent of her horrific injuries, including having lost a thumb.
“2 weeks in a coma, brain bleed, brain swelling, severed main artery in the neck, crushed & degloved face, several broken ribs, paralyzed arm, shattered scapula, broken clavicle, broken humerus, broken radius & ulna, with an open wound and a 7.5 piece of bone missing, amputated thumb, torn fingers, 5 nerves torn out of the spinal cord…. not my funnest day on set,” she wrote in a Facebook post.

That sounds horrifying. I know she mentions her face being messed up, but damn.
Looking at that list of injuries it is hard to comprehend how she even survived.

Whatever you do...DO NOT GOOGLE THAT! Some of those images...wow. Then I scrolled a page on Google images and there's a degloved wiener. Real, or not, that cannot be unseen.

If you google Olivia Jackson, some of the photo suggestions up top are "degloved face" and "degloved"
The small sample shots were more than I wanted to see.

Stunt work needs an Academy Award nomination.

No way all that happened from just hitting a camera jib (arm).
If I had to guess, she not wearing a helmet, was going really fast and took a really bad tumble on asphalt after tangling with the jib. Jibs have support wires, so that likely accounts for the facial injuries.
Very sad regardless.

wow...a seemingly innocent phrase that conjures up a pretty frightening image.
I sure hope my face remains gloved for life.
