I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone with a boat that's going out and helping people in need. I don't have a boat but an incredible couple put in a boat near my mom's neighborhood and helped me get her and her dog out of their house as water started coming in. They were going back and getting more people and I couldn't thank them enough. And at the same time more people were coming in and launching their boats to go help.

These people all around town are the real heroes of this event and I know they've helped so many of us already. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone out there working hard to help and let you know how much we appreciate you

Hear, hear. It kinda makes me think of Dunkirk and the "little boats."

Fox News is showing some of the boat rescues.

Good to see people pull together when things are so bad.

Great see people helping each other and not just pointing fingers at the government.

Some good people in South Louisiana for sure. I know a couple guys from Iberville, Assumption and Ascension parishes that have been helping get people out of their homes in Livingston since yesterday. Some of them have water in their own homes.

I've got a boat and I'd love to help out. I'm off of 1088 in mandeville. Where would the area of greatest need be?

Went to pick up some friends from Old Hammond earlier and there were all kinds of people showing up with boats to help. Great to see.
