Yep, that's why so many cops and firemen in New York and Boston in particular were and still are Irish. Originally no one else wanted the jobs and no one else would hire the Irish, and then it just became a family job. Many people on the job in NYC now who's great great grandfathers were cops .

Well they said they didnt know his status with mob but he was connected with former boss. Basically they didnt know the extent of his business, which is how most of the mafia is
