I can reload a 5-round mag just as quickly as a 15 or 30. And I can do it fast enough that reload time is fairly insignificant. If I'm carrying smaller mags I can carry more of them.
It doesn't really matter if someone is hell bent on killing a bunch of people.

Do you know how little time it takes to change out a mag in a rifle or handgun? Literally seconds so instead of using one 20 round mag they would just use four 5 round mags. This will make very little difference to a determined person.

Well, if you don't have a varmint/pig/thuggery problem it is hard to understand.
But for sure the first time someone attempts to bust down your front door, you will want an RPG on your shoulder, man. There will be no,"man, I'm glad I got my double barrel shotgun with birdshot to protect myself", it's more like,"there are three thugs getting ready to bust down my door, I need a goddamn cannon".

bullshite it does. The Newtown shooter was changing mags after firing as few as 5 shots out of them, dropping mags with 20+ rounds still in them. The VA Tech shooter brought almost a dozen 10rd mags. Get a clue.
