The drug has gone through every safety trial that any traditional vaccine would use.

Then why does it usually take multiple years before normal vaccines can be release to the public? Genuinely curious.

Also.

Dr. Sandra Fryhofer said that both Pfizer’s and Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccines require two doses and she worries whether her patients will come back for a second dose because of potentially unpleasant side effects after the first shot.
Both companies acknowledged that their vaccines could induce side effects that are similar to symptoms associated with mild Covid-19, such as muscle pain, chills and headache.

because we don't usually have a quarter of a million people die in a single year from it?

Typically a company wouldn't be putting nearly as many resources into developing a non-pandemic vaccine. I'm willing to bet they shelved research on things like Alzheimer's cure for the time being.

Just because it doesn't usually happen this quickly doesn't mean it can't.

The SOB's that developed it should be FIRST. Then Fauci. Then all these Democrat governors and legislators and media that have put the country through hell and have been running around calling us all"anti vaxxers".

Let's see if they take it and who the "anti vaxxers" really are. Maybe if they do the rest of us might consider it.

Fauci has already said he's taking it at the earliest opportunity.

It is so crazy to me that the "trust the science" group is putting so much faith in the big pharma companies like Pfizer. It's like they've completely forgotten all the damage these companies have delay out over the years in the name of profits. And to have this be the fastest vaccine turnaround in humanity's history and we're just supposed to put our trust in big Pharma that it's safe? No thanks. I'm no anti-vax conspiracy theorist either. I get my flu shots, my two children have all of their vaccines and get flu shots yearly. So this isn't something that is just out of left field for me. I have real concerns over the safety and efficacy of this thing that has just been rammed through the process. And the propaganda going on around these vaccines is nuts as well. Those who preach at us to follow the science are the ones who have thrown the proven method for safely developing these drugs right out the window. Those who rail against corporations and their profit driven agendas are putting the hope and faith of humanity in those corporation's hands.

Everything you’re saying here is conjecture. You lack real knowledge of this topic and are spewing your Facebook thoughts on everyone as if your level headedness should be something to strongly consider or else. It’s almost like everything in your post is from the media? My bold predilection here is that this topic is completely “out of left field” for you and that you have no real background in vaccines or healthcare.

I'll never ever need to take the vaccine because

1) I'm a healthy 28 year old man
2) Even if I get Covid, I'll just let it do it's thing and it'll pass, just like any other sickness.

But I will say if this helps with the stupid, unnecessary lockdowns and restrictions, and they go away as a result, then by all means, frick it and bring out the vaccine. I'm over this garbage.

Participants in Moderna and Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine trials told CNBC in September that they were experiencing high fever, body aches, bad headaches, daylong exhaustion and other symptoms after receiving the shots. While the symptoms were uncomfortable, and at times intense, the participants said they often went away after a day, sometimes sooner, and that it was better than getting Covid-19.

Isn't that the case with any flu shot? Basically, a flu shot is a small dose of the flu virus that causes your body to build up antibodies and prevents re-infection from the full strength flu virus, so that many people experience mild symptoms of the flu after getting their flu shot.

Lulz

So everyone itt giving their opinion has to have a background in vaccines? That's kind of like saying you can't criticize Sean Payton because you've been an NFL head coach. Get bent...

But it is. So stop spreading your BS conjecture when you don’t know the slightest bit about the vaccine, it’s mechanism of action, the approval process, and the research teams/timelines that are behind them.

I’ll take it in a heartbeat. I may feel differently if I had kids, but my decision will be to get in line and take it, even if just for testing purposes.

Good for him. They should strap Governor Cuomo and his brother down, and Larry Hogan, and Stretchin Gretchen, and the rest of them.

Want to bet some of them become Anti Vaxxers?

Not that my neighbor is any better of a source, but she said that her hospital said they should have the vaccine by the middle of the month.

That would be inline with the FDA meeting on 12/10 where they are expected to approve it.

They will still push for 100% of the population to get it. They will try to shame anyone who doesn't want it for rational concerns about long term side effects. Plenty of posters here already gaslighting common sense discussion.

I’ll have fun being allowed in concerts and sporting events while you sit and complain about wanting to return to normal
