I'm not getting it soon because I'm a younger healthy person with little to no contact with people considered high risk. Anyone in a group that is low risk for getting more than mild if any symptoms who bum rushes their CVS or urgent care on day 1 probably sucks. The rollout will almost surely be a clusterfrick. No need to make it harder on those who really need it.

What point do you think you're making with that quote?

Exactly what you said. He is just saying that until the vaccine is proven effective and the virus is under control there is a need for the measures.

No clue what point he is trying to make

Point is, the science lover are saying lockdowns and masks are here to stay even with the vaccine

No, he literally said that even with the vaccine, everyone (including people vaccinated) should keep doing distancing and masks, which is what pride and I said he said.

Umm, what he did was give a reason for why he is telling people to stay masked in their fricking closet even with a vaccine

Im not sure what you are trying to do here Fauci and his friends are for lockdown and mask measures even with the vaccine

Let me tell you something right now. I work in semiconductor manufacturing and can say that any time we rushed production and got "emergency approval" from the customer, the product ended up being a complete failure. And all it did was end up costing more time and money. This vaccine has potential to be a huge disaster.

Am I an anti-vaxxer if I don’t want a vaccine that was rushed to production during a pandemic?

No, you’re smart. Most vaccines take at least 10 years. Measles is the only one that only took 4 years. No way am I trusting a vaccine for a virus that hasn’t even existed here for a year with unknown long term side effects.

Well, if he said he'll take the vaccine, that means he definitely will.

Isn't that the case with any flu shot? Basically, a flu shot is a small dose of the flu virus that causes your body to build up antibodies and prevents re-infection from the full strength flu virus, so that many people experience mild symptoms of the flu after getting their flu shot.

The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines aren’t your typical flue shots. They use technology that has never been approved by the FDA before. The “typical” flu shots for COVID will come out early next year.
