This is perhaps one of the most retarded thread bumps I've ever seen on TD.

With that said WW can go frick themselves.

This might be worse than when that apartment complex employee responded in the thread about that dude who had the dead dog in the lake or something.

I had a very good experience with Relief Windows. They were very responsive to my questions during the sales process, and quickly addressed a minor leak after the job was completed and paid for.

You can also go to a local window company and ask who are their installers. Most of them are not just window flunkies. These guys are licensed contractors.

Then you can probably buy a lot better quality vinyl window and have a few bucks left over.

You got to remember with relief window and window word you have some marketing put into the price of their jobs.

Window World and Relief are both out of BR. WW was the first mass marketer besides Sears and Relief came along to have a similar business motto.

I know a guy who has been an installer for Window World, Relief and Glass Guru and he advised that all the companies sell the exact same windows which are manufactured somewhere else. He too advised that WW is often good but sometimes you can get a crappy installer. Didn't talk much about the other two companies

Those two bid on a large commercial project that was a remodel.

WW came in 10% less. They did good work, fast work and stood behind their product

Relief Windows (RW) offers a 7700 series replacement window that has LEEP glass, double insulation properties, and much thicker double strength glass

What does this even mean? 7700 is a useless number without a manufacturer. And LEEP glass? Maybe a Low-e typo? If so, what type of low-e? There's a wide range of performance when it comes to low-e.

And double insulation properties? Maybe you mean a dual seal insulating unit? Explain further why this is advantageous over a single seal unit. I know why, but your customers should know why before you shite on a competitor.

Double strength glass is by definition 1/8" thick (3.2mm). Any thicker and it's no longer double strength.

Be honest with your potential customers. Don't rattle off industry jargon to make something sound fancier than it really is.

we used WW when we bought our house 2 years ago. House was built in 80s and still had original windows. Was pleased from start to finish. We also had Relief Windows come out. We chose WW b/c they had same product for cheaper price and better financing options.

It depends on what you choose- color of window, style, size, clear or frosted glass, etc.

What about the cost of the basic single and double windows? I just always hear that the $189 is kind of a gimmick. I'm thinking about replacing ours. We don't really have anything unusual. Maybe 5 double windows, 3 single width, 3 half windows.

I've called them a few times in the last 6 months about repairing a large bay window that they installed years ago and they don't answer or return my calls.

ETA: Just realized this thread was 2 years old

Quote for 15 Windows:

RW - 7,200
WW - 5,500

Same windows...went with WW. Didn't do the best clean up job and good thing my wife speaks Spanish. Good windows and no problems 2 years later.

i ended up with LAS over here in NOLA area. Window World does a good enough jobs but their windows aren't as elite as some other brands. but the warranty etc and sometimes the price, its a solid deal. WW had to upcharge everything on my house with arches color this sizes this and that shite... the price with LAS came down and really was a very good deal and pretty comparable to WW's price at the end.

Something like that. In the glass industry.
