Umm, why didn't you ask for the insurance? It's like $5 a day.

i didn't know that type of vehicle was not covered under my CC policy a-hole
You obviously didn't know that it did, so you thought it a good idea to hope for the best when you declined Alamo's insurance?

So what would have happened if the OP was to have been stopped by the police in said rental truck? Sorry officer this is a rental and I don't carry any valid insurance. Rental or not he was still driving an automobile without any type of insurance. You fricked

Read my posts in the thread.

Yep. Subtract 5k from it.
If you get a bill for 5k, sucks to be you. The rental company's costs are around 400$ to shop each door, and they will probably take a 500$ hit when it goes to auction. Add in 10 days for it to get through the shop, my best guess is that their true cost will be around 2300$. No idea what they will charge you though.
Edit - looking at the pictures again, I was wrong. The rocker panels are fricked up, the doors are misaligned, and you might have damage on the subframe and/or inner rocker depending on what you hit. It won't be cheap.

If you have auto insurance it insures the rental vehicle. At least Geico does. Rental agencies always like to tell you different.

Not anymore. That extra cash is going to your rental truck now, homie.

Cancel your credit card immediately. Don't give Alamo ANY pay information. Ignore all contact from them. Those motherfrickers have insurance in their vehicles. Let them cover it. Don't respond until you get a summons from a sheriff.
OP please don't do this. Granted, you're an idiot for not having insurance and driving, but this would be just amazingly dumb.

It doesn't matter what you thought you were renting.
You thought a credit card was enough insurance?
