Sounds like this is a modern theater too, not one of the rundown old discount theater types.

Like many contemporary theaters, Touchstar's seats are now plush recliners instead of the ballpark-style derriere-flatteners of yesteryear. All 12 theaters are equipped with state of the art Dolby Digital Surround Sound and digital projection, Dattani says.

I’d be fricked if I had to fill a theater up with friends.

I started wondering last night what type of maintenance is being done at these theatre's. Can you imagine the rodent problem if they didn’t properly clean and dispose of all food related items before closing down.

This should have been a thing a long time ago. BYOB with a couple of friends could be fun.

I don’t see how they can break even, with cleanup and air conditioning

I'm sure that's standard operating procedure just to maintain the property.

Movie theaters aren’t but a few years from going extinct.
It’s almost to the point that people can get a movie the day it releases in their homes and no one is gonna want to deal with a theater.

There’s no way the studio licensing fees are less than $100/showing. $1000/showing, maybe.

Everybody probably saw how you treated that old girl and took off.

don’t see how they can break even
