Studios are cutting some major licensing deals right now (relatively speaking) since there are no new features. Most of them are offering packages of anywhere from 5 to 15 movies for between $150 and $300 a week. Theaters could them show as many runs of any movie from that package that they want to.

Theaters still aren’t going to be close to being whole with only 25-50% capacity and no new movies to show, but at least the discounts from studios are helping slow the bleeding a small bit.




But in normal times, studio licensing fees are usually a percentage of the gate, not a fixed fee
