People used to think that everyone would have lasers out all the time and it would be crazy, they went away

Same thing with drones honestly, the fad is kinda slipping. People used to think their would be drones flying everywhere all the time

Don't know him but what he did qualifies him as such.

I bought one and rigged up a setup to align my Honda Pioneer’s front end using two tape measures on the floor to the front and back of the tires.

Got pretty close too. Steering wheel is fairly straight and it doesn’t pull to one side or wander.

Imagine being threatened with or sent to jail over shining a light at a helicopter or plane.

It's easy if you try.

April Nicole Poitras, 45, appeared before U.S. District Judge S. Maurice Hicks Jr. and entered her guilty plea to two counts of aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft.

According to information presented in court, the incident happened on Aug. 15, 2023 as a Cessna 172L was flying at approximately 3,500 feet over Caddo Parish. A green laser was pointed at it from the ground.

***
Poitras admitted to knowingly aiming the laser pointer at both aircraft and their flight paths. She admitted to aiming at several aircraft that night.

was in a movie theater back in the mid 90s watching a movie about the Hindenburg and this dude screams out “that’s gotta hurt” as the Hindenburg is going up I flames thinking it was funny. Well then this dude pulled out a laser pointer and the whole place lost it it was quite the thing to see
Love this! George would go see the same movie repeatedly to use his line. The laser pointer guy ruined his moment of glory.

All the Plant Baws that work nights are still rocking the green pointers. Hard to finger point into a pipe rack at 1am with any accuracy.

Not only do I remember them

I remember when all I wanted in the whole world was a laser pointer

The first one I got was the size of a highlighter and cost like 100 bucks.

Within 2 years they were tiny and 5 dollars and every other kid had them, crushed me
