When I stumbled upon the Torrance location, that was the first thing that I looked for.

Mojos are better than the pizza.
I definitely put a dent in their supply.

One reason chain pizza joints were so successful in the South in general was because more often than not they were the only chain restaurant where you could buy beer with your meal. maybe not so much in south Louisiana, but almost everywhere else that was the case. Beer and pizza became an institution of sorts.

It wasn't just the pizza. The music, movies, cable channels, and fast food, in general, was much better back then.
There was also a lot of great, new technology that improved your life without invading your privacy. The 21st century totally blows, compared to the last 30+ years of the 20th. It's not even debatable.

yeah, kids today will not know the joy of going into a bar with your dad so he could sneak a beer and he rewards you with pickled eggs and hot sausages that had been soaking for about 3 years...

Not gonna lie, the Book It program was largely responsible for my love of reading and pizza.

Book it was the shite even though it was easy as hell to cheat.

My parents would take us on Friday nights in the 80’s... ear those thin breadsticks from the salad bar and play the sit down pac man game until pizza was ready... good times

I don't remember the 70s. But it was definitely a deal in the 90s and the early 2000s for my family.
After me and my brother had either a baseball or basketball game, headed to pizza hut was the thing to do. My mom, brother and me shared a pizza. Them my Dad got his own separate pizza because he liked his with a lot of toppings no one else liked. Not to mention they had the soda fountain and I would manage to drink 5 cups of sprite until my mom said stop.
Good memories. Now, however, I don't know the last time I've been to a Pizza Hut that even has dine-in options. It's strictly pizza carry-out/delivery now.

Yeah for me it was the 80s and 90s. Used to go with my mom and then in high school me and some friends would go after exams when we had half days or something.

Pizza Hut used to have this bad boy. It was sort of like a Chicago deep dish, but not.
I worked fir Pizza Hut in the late 90s and they introduced the Chicago Pizza then.
It was freaking fantastic, but it never caught on. It did take longer to cook and I think the price point was too high for the timeframe when Little Caesar’s was dropping pizzas to $5.
Crust was almost a biscuit.
Working there was a blast and we made some excellent pizza creations but I got fat and didn’t get rid of it will my late 20s.
My family still eats Pizza Hut but the experience of going and sitting, orderering, running off to play games, and putting music on the juke box is a nostalgia my kids will never have.
